2024 wrap-up
Friends, 2024 is coming to an end! In December 2023 I gave my first talk in front of a large audience at our Selectel Admin meetup. After that talk I realized I love sharing experience with an external audience, networking with people, and putting together interesting talks. At that point I started wondering what I could expect from 2024.
And honestly, 2024 turned out to be packed with various talks, and I wanted to look back on them in this post :)
1️⃣ The year started with DevOps Conf, where I talked about our platform delivery pipeline for clients 2️⃣ Then the ML meetup, where Efim Golovin (who also now has a cool channel) and I talked about how we choose infrastructure for ML 3️⃣ Took part in a discussion panel at the Admin meetup: DevOps vs. System Administrator 4️⃣ Talked about the GPU Operator and GPU sharing at PyCon 2024 5️⃣ Showed how autoscaling works in k8s at a webinar 6️⃣ Presented our new product, the inference platform, at Selectel TechDay 7️⃣ And showed the technical details of implementing the inference platform at HighLoad 2024
Also among this year's results: 🎧 recorded on two podcasts, one of which is coming out in February 🏆 got an award at Selectel for being a brand ambassador ✒️ wrote 6 articles for Habr about our research
The year turned out very productive, and I hope next year we won't lower the bar! Planning to launch a course on ML infrastructure and get into consulting :)
